One of my favorite things about living in New York is the amount of creative individuals you meet here.. and even more when they are in the same page like you in terms of  fashion vision. Back in Peru (and Im sure in many other places as well) I felt people that didn’t enjoy my style  actually transmitted their negative impression.. and its not about liking everyones fashion vision but respecting their preferences of self expresion, of letting everyone do their own thing.. I remember those nights I went out with my dungarees and creepers and got such stares from the people that went to the same places..now I’m not only being myself but enjoy doing it because everyone is also doing their thing and being creative regardless of what other people may say.  These pictures show exactly what I’m talking about. It’s so fun to work with someone that surely knows who you are, what you like and that wants to capture that. Every time Kimi and I get together we just click.

Una de mis cosas favoritas de vivir en esta ciudad es la cantidad de gente creativa que puedes conocer… y mas aun cuando estan en la misma pagina que tu en relacion a una misma vision de lo que es “moda”.. Cuando vivia en Peru (y probablemente en mil otros lugares) muchas veces sentia quienes no apreciaban mi estilo tenian la necesidad de demostrar su impresion negativa hacia el. Y en realidad la moda no se trata de eso.. no hay un codigo, un “va” y “no va”.. se trata de respetar las preferencias del otro y sus maneras de expresarse. Ahora no solo me expreso a mi manera sino que tambien disfruto hacerlo por que cada uno esta en su mundo, explorando su creatividad sin importar lo que los demas digan.  Estas fotos demuestran lo que hablo.. es increible trabajar con alguien que sabe quien eres claramente y busca capturar eso. Cada vez que me junto con Kimi creamos looks juntas que nos gustan a las dos y las fotos fluyen automaticamente.
