Miami Fashion Week

Finally put together a photo diary of our trip to Miami for Fashion Week! We were invited for a few days to experience FW and it was a trip so packed with shows, fun things to do not to mention I was loving the relaxed atmosphere as opposed to NYFW, which can be quite hectic. We left in the morning so I wore some comfy leggings and a pair of platform sneakers… I always travel with either sweats or leggings to make sure I get a comfy flight, and of course usually wear black because I can’t other to combine colors when Im rushing to the airport haha. The first night it was a kick off party at Saks Fifth Avenue and I wore this snake print pair of pants with a white off the shoulder top. After Saks we watched Oscar Carvallo’s show which was so beautiful. Unfortunately I only filmed little videos so if you check my stories you probably got to see it 🙂

We also got to see one of my all time favorite designers, Agatha Ruiz De la Prada. It was so cool that I could see her designs so close when I was such a big fan since i was a little kid! Its so funny that I used to collect her pencil cases! Love how colorful and playful her collection was, yet so cohesive. All the prints were a dream and I loved the variety of silhouettes. For this show I wore a cute floral dress because it was so hot and humid so I wanted something fresh and airy.

We stayed at the EAST hotel in Miami and got to try their famous restaurant Quinto La Huella. It was so delicious and I love the edgy yet casual vibe it had. It was a mix of bohemian and minimalistic at the same time with stone walls and lots of wood elements. We got to share a burrata and a burger because its so hard to choose between cheese and fries haha. I was wearing a white crochet dress and a dark lipstick to tone the look down.

We also enjoyed some mornings at the pool to relax and unwind before the shows. I wore this new bikini I got at Nasty Gal which was so affordable! love the casual sporty cut and the low rise bottom, its so hard to find those now that high rise bikinis are so popular. Also, I didn’t get a new belly button piercing haha, I have had it for years but I didn’t wore any jewel there! So finally I got a new one and now I plan to keep it there 🙂

The last night we went to the Annual Benefit Gala hosted by Antonio Banderas. It was in support of Give to Nicklaus for Kids and his very own Lagrimas y Favores foundation. It was an honor to be a part of such a wonderful event to help kids in need. I wore this satin blue dress and got my hair done by glamsquad! Honestly it was so convenient to get my hair done right in the hotel room before this event. Love how it turned out.

For the first time ever, Roberto Cavalli participated and we saw a special curated luxury collection. A total of 25 looks were presented featuring an evening gown as the finale piece that was auctioned off that night!

Another outfit I wore for some of the shows. I took this gorgeous jumpsuit because it had such a beautiful coral shade I felt it would match Miami quite well haha. I paired it with some chunky black sandals to add my personal touch! I always add a very personal element when I wear one pieces.

Some Miami views from the East Hotel (100% recommend if you go to Miami!) and a casual outfit I wore the last morning we were there.

Finally, we got to get some drinks on the last night to just enjoy and relax. I hadn’t been to Miami for so long (probably since I lived in Peru), so this was quite much needed. We got some Mojitos at Sugar, the bar at the East Hotel. It was so beautifully decorated and I loved that it felt like a little jungle but you’re still in the top of the building overseeing the city and skyline. I wanted to match the tropical vibe so I wore some white pants (new favorites) and a leaf printed top.

Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this post! I couldn’t thank Miami Fashion week enough for having me! Can’t wait for next year 🙂
