Definitely not a casual look today. I teamed up with Nasty Gal to try their Anti Prom collection because its such a good concept. Going to prom doesn’t mean you have to stick to perfect dresses and a polished look all over.  If I had to go to prom today, this is what I would wear: a cute but over the top tulle dress toned down with a badass biker jacket. You know, just to feel myself…because you can wear whatever you want as long as you’re feeling good on your own skin. Obviously not saying you can wear sweatpants when its a black tie event. I mean just don’t. Its insane the amount of messages I get from you guys asking me if this or that would be ok for prom. See, there are no rules and we don’t have to fit into the uniform everyone wears, just have fun and wear a dress that reflects your personality or add something that adds your unique touch. Thats my humble advice.

Here I decided to channel some Courtney Love vibes. Since the dress has an asymmetrical cut (both mini and maxi at the same time = perfection) I wore some embellished pumps that popped out quite nicely. What did you or would you guys wear for prom?

Hoy les comparto un look que hice en colaboracion con Nasty Gal para su coleccion Anti Prom justamente para esas fiestas, en las cuales ya no es necesario entrar en el uniforme y ir vestidas todas iguales. Si you tuviese que ir a una prom el dia de hoy o un evento similar esto es basicament lo que usaria: un vestido un poco extremo y blanco con una casaca biker, para darle ese toque un poco mas desaliñado, y sentirme mas yo. Por que podemos usar lo que queremos siempre y cuando nos sintamos comodas sin importar el resto. Obviamente que no vas a ponerte un pantalon de correr para un evento elegante, pero si puedes darle tu personalidad y usar el vestido que te gusta. Es increible la cantidad de mensajes en los que me preguntan si esto estaria bien para ir a prom o una fiesta elegante… la verdad es que no hay reglas. Para mi es sobre sentirte bien y querer verte bien con lo que te define, usar algo que tenga un toque unico y tuyo 🙂

Lo que mas me gusta es el corte asimetrico que hace que sea mini y maxi al mismo tiempo asi pude usar mis sandalias con pedreria ya que se podian ver! En fin, que les parece? que es lo que ustedes usaron o usarian? me encantaria saber!
