5 key pieces I’m loving right now, and always.

Nothing like a key piece that you know will always work. With the endless amount of trends out there I’ve been trying to remain true to myself and figure out the pieces I love right now. So I made a little list for you guys to share the classic ones I believe will always remain in my wardrobe!

1. White crochet tops

We can all agree on this one. In this outfit I actually wanted to dress-up this gorgeous Motel crop by wearing a romantic look with a blazer and a bow but a white crochet top isn’t only for dainty outfits. With the choker trend, these can be totally grunged up (how I hate this term, but you know what I mean) and look like taken out of Leon the movie. They’re such a versatile piece and there are infinite ways to wear them.

2. Burnt orange bottoms.

We all know the 70s made a comeback in 2015 and to be honest I’m a little bit over the trend but one of the elements I still adore is burnt orange. It’s an extremely rich color and honestly its gradually becoming a favorite color of mine along with burgundy and olive green. They look so great paired with any neutral color and give so much personality to the outfit. The one i’m wearing is vintage but this buttoned one is super similar.

3. Classic round gold sunglasses.

These Ray Ban metal sunglasses are a such a classic staple. It’s insane how they add a vintage feel and a more carefree aesthetic to any look. If you are wearing just a pair of jeans and a classic white tee, you can trust a pair of gold round sunnies to make casual look way cooler.

4. Adding a bow to every outfit.

I’ve been adding a bow to my looks lately and I literally don’t mind if I look way too dressed up! It’s funny that whenever I try adding it on and then I take it off to compare I rush and put it back on. If a bow matches the outfit, go for it. If you want an elaborated take on the bow, this satin one would work wonders with any outfit but if you’re looking for something more delicate you can also try this thin choker one here.

5. Chunky boots.

I will endlessly love chunky boots, no matter how old I get. I remember the very first pair of chunky 90s booties I got (about 6 years ago) and I was hooked ever since. I still keep getting more chunky boots but I swear every single pair is so different. They always give me so much confidence specially when my outfit is very simple. One of my favorite brands is Windsor Smith. These are an old pair by them but you can find similar here.

Nada como una prenda clave que sabes que siempre va a funcionar. Con la cantidad de tendencias no es facil discernir cuales son las que mas nos gustan. Siempre he tratado de ser fiel a mi estilo. Deescubrir y probar las que realmente me gustan siempre ha sido mi regla. Abajo les cuento las 5 prendas clave que jamas van a dejar de ser parte de mi closet.:
Tops de crochet blancos: creo que todos podemos estar de acuerdo. Los tops de crochet parecían ser la prenda perfecta para chicas con un estilo mas romántico hasta hace un par de años. Ahora con la tendencia de los chokers se les puede dar un giro mas interesante con looks mas “grunge” (como odio usar este termino, pero me entienden) y parecer sacados de la película Leon. En este look me fui por una onda un poco mas elegante combinándolo con un blazer y un lazo. Hay tantas maneras de usarlos.
Partes de abajo naranja cobre: Todos sabemos que los 70s regresaron en el 2015, y para ser sincera ya se me fue la obsesión pero una de los elementos que me siguen gustando es el color naranja cobrizo. Es hermoso y queda tan bien con cualquier color neutral y le da demasiada personalidad al look a comparación de negro.
Lentes oscuros dorados: Estos Ray Ban de metal son un accesorio clásico y atemporal. Es increíble como le da un toque mas vintage y una onda mas relajada a cualquier look. Si usan un jean y un t-shirt blanco , estos son ideales para hacer que un look tan casual se vea genial.
Añadir un lazo a casi todos mis outfits: lamentablemente no he podido parar de hacer esto, pero es que se ve tan bien! Ni siquiera me interesa si es que se me ve muy sobre vestida, simplemente hace que se vea mucho mas interesante. Es chistoso por que siempre siempre que trato de probar el lazito en el espejo y luego lo quito para comparar termino poniéndolo de nuevo por que no hay vuelta atrás. Si al look le va un lazo, no duden en usarlo.
Botas chunky: siempre amare las botas con plataforma grande, no importa que tan vieja me vuelva. Me acuerdo perfecto del primer par de botas noventeras chunky que conseguí y como me enamore desde ese instante. Siempre estoy renovando mi colección de botas pero es que les juro que cada par es tan distinto al anterior. Siempre me dan mas confianza sobre todo cuando mis outfits son muy simples y obviamente amo ser mas alta jeje.
