top 5 formal dresses for summer

Today I’m sharing a quick round up of my favorite formal dresses, those that I’ve worn this summer for special occasions. From maxi ruffled dresses to cute mini lace ones, there’s one for every style out there. Let me know which is your favorite one!

Loved wearing this Yumi Kim maxi dress in Capadoccia for a beautiful formal morning event! I don’t usually wear super bright colors but this yellow shade made me want to give it a try and got so many compliments!

Throwing it back to Paris, this look was so fun to wear for a night out and an elegant date with my boyfriend. I was wearing an NBD maxi from Revolve that had this ruched detailing and made me feel so confident. I love ruched dresses because they always accentuate the silhouette and look so flattering but this one also came in the coolest coral shade that made it so unique.

My go to dress will always come in lace and have a very cute silhouette (aka skater dresses). This has got to be one of my favs but its an old one from Revolve so you can check a very similar one from Lovers and Friends or shop other favorite skater lace dresses below:

Nothing like a good old classic satin slip maxi! I will never get tired of this slip dresses, there’s something so timeless about them and they always make you look so good if the fit is right. This time I was wearing a Rat and Boa slip dress in the most unique green shade it made me feel like the little mermaid haha.  I normally go for nudes though, so you can shop some other satin slip dresses in classic shades:

And last but not least, there will always be space in my wardrobe for a good old floral maxi. I normally go for reds or warm shades when wearing florals like this Rat and Boa floral maxi I wore in Capadoccia.
